Curved beam coherent diffractive imaging

چکیده
We discuss a coherent diffractive imaging experiment wherein the illuminating X-ray beam is divergent, rather than planar. By reconstructing the illumination at the sample, it is possible to recover the exit surface wave in that plane. With this geometry, the usual iterative reconstruction scheme converges very quickly, without finding the typical ambiguous solutions. © 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. Hard X-ray polarizer to enable simultaneous three-dimensional nanoscale imaging of magnetic structure and lattice strain
Recent progress in the development of dichroic Bragg coherent diffractive imaging, a new technique for simultaneous three-dimensional imaging of strain and magnetization at the nanoscale, is reported. This progress includes the installation of a diamond X-ray phase retarder at beamline 34-ID-C of the Advanced Photon Source. The performance of the phase retarder for tuning X-ray polarization is ...
متن کاملPtychographic coherent diffractive imaging with orthogonal probe relaxation.
Ptychography is a scanning coherent diffractive imaging (CDI) technique that relies upon a high level of stability of the illumination during the course of an experiment. This is particularly an issue for coherent short wavelength sources, where the beam intensity is usually tightly focused on the sample in order to maximize the photon flux density on the illuminated region of the sample and th...
متن کاملLensless diffractive imaging using tabletop coherent high-harmonic soft-X-ray beams.
We present the first experimental demonstration of lensless diffractive imaging using coherent soft x rays generated by a tabletop soft-x-ray source. A 29 nm high harmonic beam illuminates an object, and the subsequent diffraction is collected on an x-ray CCD camera. High dynamic range diffraction patterns are obtained by taking multiple exposures while blocking small-angle diffraction using be...
متن کاملFull field tabletop EUV coherent diffractive imaging in a transmission geometry.
We demonstrate the first general tabletop EUV coherent microscope that can image extended, non-isolated, non-periodic, objects. By implementing keyhole coherent diffractive imaging with curved mirrors and a tabletop high harmonic source, we achieve improved efficiency of the imaging system as well as more uniform illumination at the sample, when compared with what is possible using Fresnel zone...
متن کاملFresnel coherent diffractive imaging: treatment and analysis of data
Fresnel coherent diffractive imaging (FCDI) is a relatively recent addition to the suite of imaging tools available at third generation x-ray sources. It shares the strengths of other coherent diffractive techniques: resolution limits that are independent of focusing optics, single-plane measurement and high dose efficiency. The more challenging experimental geometry and detailed reconstruction...
